We are absolutely delighted that our founder, Kathie, has been announced as the recipient of this year’s Innovation in Practice Award from the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, her professional body, for the Wylde Wide practitioner’s scheme from Into the Wylde.
Wylde Wide looks to support fellow practitioners and the people who come to visit them for their health, through Wylde One.
This award was initiated following the COVID-19 pandemic, this award was created to recognise herbalists who have found innovative ways to connect plants, patients and practitioners.
The criteria for the award looks at:
- What has been done to build the business that shows creativity and innovative spirit
- How this has helped to develop the business
- What impact this has had on patients and people’s connection with herbal medicine
Nominations focused on changes to how a practice or business has marketed itself, exploring partnerships with other businesses, looking at changes to patient on-boarding or consultations, or perhaps demonstrate how technology has improved the business. This award celebrates herbalists building their professional lives in so many different ways and wants to share these stories and celebrate the successes.
Kathie is blown away to have won and very grateful for the recognition of the scheme. She hopes that the Wylde Wide will continue to support herbalists and other complementary practitioners alike with Wylde One, and inspire others in future years.
